When Gail stepped into ownership of Tempest Coffee Collective, it marked a new chapter shaped by decades of experience, quiet discipline, and a deep appreciation for community-centered spaces. Originally from Flint, Michigan, she has called Wisconsin home since 1997, building a 30-year career as a stylist after studying at Madison Area Technical College. Most recently, she worked independently at RiverHeath's Salon Elan, where she became known for her consistency, attention to detail, and ability to create environments where people feel both comfortable and cared for.

Now a wife and parent, Gail approaches this transition with intention rather than reinvention. Her vision for Tempest is rooted in continuity, preserving what people already love while thoughtfully expanding its offerings and presence within the community.

“My goal is to continue bringing quality coffee and food to the space, while building on what’s already here,” she says. “There’s a lot of potential in this location, and I’m excited to grow into that, especially by expanding vegan and gluten-free options and creating a place people feel good coming back to.”

With a steady hand and a clear sense of direction, Gail is focused on shaping Tempest into a space that reflects both quality and care, one that evolves naturally while remaining grounded in its purpose.
